THE 9 DIVINE PURPOSE PRINCIPLES
These 9 principles are from the best selling book, "Finding Your Divine Purpose" by author Dennis Chamberland and are intended to serve as a foundational cornerstone in everyones life.
The act and practice of creating every moment in your life requires an understanding of core principles that will keep you aligned with the universe and living the life of your dreams.
Whatever your personal beliefs, it all begins with FAITH. Faith that there is a higher power in our lives that guides us everyday and in every way.
OVERCOMING FEAR, DOUBT AND WORRY
When you know who you are and are clear on where you want to go, the fear of failure, the doubt in your abilities, the worries of whether you are good enough do not exist in your mind. Fear, doubt and worry do not exist in your mind because you believe in yourself and your dream more then you fear it, doubt it, or worry about it. You love and accept yourself and therefore are not influenced by whether others love or accept you. You are free of guilt, shame and blame because you follow your own divine path and not the one society has predetermined for you. You know you have the
power to make choices that will take you exactly where you want to be, and that empowers you.
USE YOUR WORDS TO CREATE NOT DESTROY
Words have the power to create your reality so choose every word that flows from your mouth carefully. Invest your time creating love in your life through your words and watch the love you create, flow back to you in waves of abundance.
SHOW-UP AND GIVE 100% EACH DAY
Each day is different but the one thing they all have in common is that you give each day your best 100% effort. Don't
fall into the trap of comparing one day to the next because that will invite judgment and judgment brings shame, blame and guilt... By simply living each day with 100% of your best effort, you will welcome joy and happiness knowing that you lived that day to its fullest and that you were present and a conscious participant in your life. Remember that doing your best is not an expectation of perfection, but instead, giving your 100% best effort is an acknowledgement that your day may not have been perfect but you are at peace and freedom knowing you gave it your best - you showed up and gave 100%.
DON'T JUDGE YOURSELF OR OTHERS
Wholly loving and accepting yourself will free you of any outside judgment or criticism because you will know the truth. You will realize that the opinion of others is only an opinion and has no bearing on how you view yourself.
Understanding that being, doing and saying what truly originates from your inner-self gives you the freedom and peace to pursue your own unique life and not the life others expect of you.
EMBRACE CHANGE, DON'T FEAR IT
Talking about the need for change and actually experiencing it, are two very different things. Once you begin to step into change, the experience of change is painful and uncomfortable because it’s unfamiliar and different. You will begin to resist change and want to return to what you knew, but your will continue moving forward to the breakthrough – that point where maximum pressure is no longer there and only expansion and an new view of life exists. The cycle of discomfort, pressure then expansion and growth continues throughout your life so embrace the journey and visualize the happiness that lives on the other side of your growth summit.
REMEMBER IT'S NOT ALWAYS ABOUT YOU
When we take things personally, we believe that everything happening around us is directed at us personally. We
begin to take the things people say and do, personally - that guy who cuts us off on the highway, that person who doesn't acknowledge us as we pass... When we take things personally, we believe these people are acting out towards us when in fact they don't even know us - they are living their life completely separate from ours and their actions have nothing to do with us. Perhaps that person who cut us off just received word that a loved one was in an accident and they are heading to the hospital to be with them. Perhaps that person who passed us without acknowledgment, was in deep thought having just learned they were laid-off from their job. You see, these things had nothing to do with us, but because we took their actions personally, we made it all about us.
ALIGN YOUR ENERGY WITH YOUR ACTIONS
The sure thing that telegraphs a person's true intentions is their energetic presence. For example within the animal kingdom, they sense the energy behind your spoken word. Take their cue and listen to what others say but also sense the energy behind what they’re saying. This will give you the gift of greater insight on whether the person you’re communicating with is being authentic of if they’re just a poser!
RECEIVE, GIVE AND EXPECT NOTHING IN RETURN
Give of value to others with the pure joy of giving without the expectation of receiving something in return and receive of value without the expectation of giving anything in return. Doing so will free you of guilt, shame and blame and allow you to fully enjoy the act of giving and the act of simply receiving.
TAKE PERSONAL AND SITUATIONAL INVENTORY
The principle of taking personal inventory is all about knowing where you are, knowing who you are, being who you are and embracing the uniqueness of your individuality. In the face of society’s demanding conformity, you must be certain of one core thing – you must always know who you are, know what you want to welcome into your life and know who you want in your life.
